Block Master is an independent browser puzzle project built to make 9x9 block-placement decisions playable, inspectable, and easier to discuss.

Why the project exists

Many puzzle pages explain broad strategy but leave the reader to imagine how advice changes a real board. Block Master connects every lesson to the same game engine. You can play a complete run, recreate a position, compare measured outcomes, and practice authored examples without creating an account.

The site is maintained under the Block Master project identity. It does not claim a company history, professional credentials, user counts, awards, or endorsements that have not been provided and verified. The project launched as this original web build in 2026.

What is original

The board code, piece library, Swiss-style visual system, scoring formula, board-health heuristic, daily seed rule, practice states, diagrams, and written guides were created for this site. Block Master does not reuse another publisher's artwork, screenshots, interface, scoring, or claims of affiliation.

How analysis works

The health score combines six visible signals: legal move availability, largest empty rectangle, open lanes, hardest-piece fit, clear potential, and isolated holes. The weights are published on the methodology guide and shared by the game and analyzer. A higher score means more measured flexibility under those inputs, not a guaranteed final result.

This transparency is intentional. A black-box best-move label would be difficult to evaluate and easy to overstate. Block Master presents ranked tradeoffs and includes counterexamples where a lower-health move can be justified by scoring or piece order.

Editorial approach

Each strategy page answers one intent, uses complete prose, includes an authored board, states where the advice may not apply, and links to a working tool. Pages are reviewed against the current implementation. The site avoids medical, therapeutic, cognitive-improvement, guaranteed-score, and guaranteed-optimality claims.

Advertising is not allowed to interrupt the initial puzzle controls or resemble navigation. Before any AdSense activation, the privacy disclosures, consent behavior where applicable, and publisher configuration must match the actual deployment.

Review and correction process
