How to Play a 9x9 Block Puzzle
A 9x9 block puzzle asks you to place fixed shapes on a square board and complete full rows, columns, or outlined 3x3 boxes. In Block Master, all completed units clear together, you receive three pieces at a time, and the run ends only when none of the offered pieces fits.

Clearing immediately is usually useful, but not every clear improves the board. A small row clear can remove support cells that were keeping a larger box setup compact. Compare the board after the clear with the landing zones your remaining pieces need.
Likewise, an edge placement is not automatically safe. Packing every early piece against one wall can create a long uneven frontier that accepts only small shapes. Build with clean boundaries and avoid one-cell notches unless the current tray can repair them.
Field notes and measurable checks
Use coordinates to make a first game easier to review. Call the upper-left cell row 1, column 1, and describe a placement by the top-left cell of its bounding box. If a horizontal three bar starts at row 2, column 4, it occupies columns 4 through 6. This language matches the analyzer and turns a vague impression into a position another player can reproduce.
A useful first-game drill is to predict the health direction before every move. Say whether you expect the value to rise, fall, or remain close, then place the piece and inspect the components. A correct prediction is less important than identifying the cause. An unexpected decline may reveal a blocked lane, reduced difficult-piece fit, or a hole that was not visually obvious.
Accessibility does not change the puzzle rules. The board exposes row and column labels, piece controls have text names, and status messages describe accepted and rejected placements. On a small screen, the visual cells are parts of one board surface rather than 81 separate large controls. The piece tray and action controls retain practical touch sizes while the square board uses the available width.

- Select one of the three offered pieces.
- Choose an empty origin cell where every part of the piece fits.
- Complete a full row, column, or 3x3 box to clear it.
